Casa de Esperanza (CDE) or House of Hope is the name of the Children Home in Caranavi, a village in northern Bolivia. This Children Home is founded in 1992 by the Dutch missionaries Piet & Marijke Punt, It is a shelter for children without parents. The more than 80 children who live in the Children Home are orphans or children left alone by their parents. Over the time this project is expanded and now there is also a Daily-care Center and 2 separate Teenager Homes for the older children.
In 1997 a second project has been initiated: it is a Training School (CEC) to educate and train young chiristians from different local christian churches.
The Children Home and the Training School have in common the aim to change and renew young people by teaching them that Jesus Christ is their Saviour.
